The Abah-Geek's Top 5 figures of 2017

It's almost the end of 2017, and I thought I'd end it with a list of my top five favourite action figures this year. (Note: I had originally wanted to include Mezco Toyz's Captain America and BVS Batman in the list but since those were actually release towards the tail end of last year...)

SO here you are, The Abah-Geek's top five list of best figures for the year:

Its a no-brainer why this figure made the list- the quality and craftsmanship of the AI line is indeed impressive, especially since it started out as a kick-starter project.

From the level of articulation to the smorgasbord of accessories that comes with the figure, this one and any figure from this line has definitely earned a space in any collector's toy shelf.

I sometimes feel like this figure doesn't really get the due credit it deserves. Three awesome headsculpts with finishing paint details, with a kickass costume and accessories, Mezco's Daredevil successfully incorporates the character's comic book aesthetics and manages to weave and create a figure that is still quite distinct and..well Mezco.

This is the figure that caught me at unawares. When I first got this, I was a little meh and nonchalant about Spidey, but once I opened it and messed around it, I definitely changed my mind. Its sizeably accurate, articulate and true to the movie's interpretation of the character (which I love).

This figure is almost perfect and in my opinion, the most accurate comic-book interpretation of Logan ever (I haven't gotten my Mezco version yet though!).

From the bright-yellow-and-blue homage to the character's costume in the 1990s X-Men series to the amazing level of articulation, this is simply one of those figures you'd find hard to put down once you've picked it up...

...with the exception being this bad boy right here. There is a reason why this figure occupies the top 2017 list of many, many collectors. He's got impressive details in all three headsculpts, a trench coat, three different belt buckles and don't get me started on the number of guns he comes stocked with.

A few minor QC issues on the ankle joints can't take away the limelight off an otherwise almost perfect figure, and the most accurate representation of Frank Castle ever in a collectible figure.
